This month the Chopshop boys welcome one of London’s finest club DJs and taste makers – Alex Nut. Alex hosts the weekly ‘Mixed Nuts’ show on RINSE FM playing the most up front Hip-Hop, Dubstep, Techno, and general Bass music as well as educating the masses with classic soul and boogie selections. He compiled the scene defining, seminal RINSE:08 compilation and has become a highly sought after party-rocker as a result. He also co-runs the fantastic Eglo record label home to Floating Points, Fatima and Funkineven. He is a FWD>> regular and has guested at most London parties worth their salt including Benji B’s Deviation and Fabric Live. Our friends Matt & Megumi produce the excellent Diskotopia nights in Tokyo. After 4 years of rocking the sweaty basement clubs of Osaka, they recently relocated to Japan’s big smoke, where they’re putting on parties and DJ’ing around town regularly. Past international guests have included the likes of Modeselektor, Optimo, Holy Ghost! and Hot Chip, while they’re also found playing alongside homegrown talent such as The Lowbrows, Duck Rock, Roger Yamaha, Tuttle, and many more.
